New Guinness World Record Title At Northstar Bus Lines
Northstar Bus Lines School Bus Driver, James Oppegard, achieved a significant milestone by being recognized in the Guinness World Records as the oldest School Bus Driver at 93 years old.
Known as Jim, he has been a part of Northstar for 14 years and has been driving school buses for 47 years, currently serving as one of our SPED Drivers. Jim enjoys interacting with a diverse range of people and has a remarkable background, having previously served in the Air Force. One fascinating detail about Jim is his involvement with NASA, where he contributed to launching over 250 satellites to survey Russia during the Cold War. Besides his work as an Electrical Engineer, Jim finds pleasure in reading, particularly Christian Literature, and gardening in his leisure time.
